Here at Vista Guapa Surf Camp, we are setting up an incredible experience for those who want a SUP getaway in Costa Rica, from March 21-27, 2015.
In this SUP camp you’ll learn how to SUP and improve your skills under the guidance of a professional surfing team leaded by Michael “Westy” Westenberger and Amy Leffingwell. Each SUP lesson will be taught according to your surfing knowledge, and will also give you the opportunity to hang out with the local staff, learning the culture of “Pura Vida”.
In addition to surfing, a typical stay at Vista Guapa includes transportation to and from the San Jose International Airport, breakfast, lunch/snack and dinner each day, an excursion to one of Costa Rica’s national parks or similar cultural activity, and beautiful air-conditioned accommodations in a bungalow overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
“This is a true escape from the daily grind,” says Mark Salvetti, Vista Guapa’s “Chief Inspiration Officer” and one of the guides for the YOLO SUP experience. “A stay at Vista Guapa is a life-changing adventure.”

Our guests receive service and instruction from a small staff of local, experienced SUP and surf experts while staying in hillside bungalows overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The YOLO Experience Camp is appropriate for novice or expert standup paddleboarders as personalized instruction will be offered to each camper.

Finish he did, and ultimately he assumed an integral role formthe annual event, servimg as the race director for 4 years. Westy continue competing and has experienced much success in the 14′ elite racing circuit.
In addition to SUP Westy has recently added paddling outrigger canoes tomhis training regimen and enjoysmthw boost oc- 1 training has given his stand up racing. He’s looking forward to spreading the YOLO vibe at events across the U.S. and other countries as a team rider.
